...for the first time in 6 months. i realized as i deboarded the airplane last night at roughly 11:30pm (2 hours late!) that i had not been back to the homeland since December, the longest stretch i've ever been away. that's sorta insane--one of those "you're growing up and being an adult" kinds of things i guess. i suppose the reality is that i havent missed much. i mean, the day to day isnt all that exciting here. i do miss the little things though: being woken up by my little brother giving me big hugs, late night chats with the sisters, the 101 (somehow it's just so much better than 93 or 95---even in traffic), & of course finding parking spots EVERYWHERE without getting tickets. anyway... enough of that.
my flight was good. i couldnt sleep last night but a few hours. oh well. had bfast with the sisters at our fav ENT--yum! i'm loading up on caffeine b/c i'm not really coherent yet. we leave for Natalie's baccalaureat in an hour or so. yay. i'm excited b/c i remember how much all this meant to me 5 years ago (ouch!), and it's really cool to watch my lil sis grow up....aww, natty.
